I'm 23 and have 2 perfect children, one girl one boy, me and my husband don't want anymore kids.
We are both perfectly happy with our 2 perfect babies and don't want anymore, I'm wanting to get my tubes tied. I have heard its not an option being so young so in wondering if anyone can help me out with any knowledge about getting tubes tied at a young age?

My mum was 24. Drs are less reluctant if you've tried other forms of contraceptive first but they have caused side effects that are awful. For example I have horrible side effects with hormonal contraception in fact they make me suicidal.
So making sure you've tried everything first given that the Mirena is so long term anyway.
Tubal ligation is highly unlikely to be able to get reversed so it's worth trying the other options if you can medically.
Also tubal ligation has it's own risks, a chance of much heavier periods for example and my gyno told me that many people end up with the Mirena in after they had the TL anyway!
For me it was worth the risk as my side effects from other contraceptives far out weighed the possible side effects from TL.
Also consider a vasectomy, easier to get, easier to reverse, easier to recover from!
I thought the same but when I had my 3 rd my dr recommended it. I think it all depends on what sort of dr u have, if he understands your position then they shouldn't have an issue with it
Get your husband to have the snip instead, day surgery vs major surgery and much cheaper with less possible side effects
