Cairns kindy schools

Hi mums

We live in caravonica but work in cairns city. I need to start looking into a kindy for my 2.5 yo next year and just wondering if anyone has any feedback on good/bad kindy schools in cairns/redlynch areas (private or public).
Are fees similar?
What should I be looking for?
What are the differences between them all?
Are they all 5 day fort nights 830-230?
Is it very hard to get into a kindy?
My daycare runs a kindy program but presume this is only worthwhile if I needed care after 2.30 pm (which I could work around with help from grandparents etc)
