Join some support groups, unfortunately he has to be the one that asks for help and does the work. It can be terrifying to watch. I ended up going separate ways with my partner because he would not / could not follow the advice he was given by professionals and it was best for me and my son not to be dragged down the spiral with him (mind you I'd stuck it out for a long long time).
Go get yourself some mental health support because you are going to need someone to vent to, say the hard stuff too, and support you.
I understand how you feel as my husband has battled it for pretty much as long as ive known him and we've had many suicide attempts. In my experience, there really isnt alot we can do, besides the obvious stuff of, listening, encouraging to get help/medication/psychologist, going to appointments with him and understanding he is having a bad day. Its a really tough road and i dont think others realise how draining it is to live with someone who is constantly batting to live while trying to raise children. I send my support and also suggest you see a counsellor so you can offload to them if you havent got famiy or friends. Goodluck xx
