Surrogate Mum's where do we look?

My husband and I would like to know more about surrogate mums, it is illegal to advertise that you are after a surrogate in victoria but its prob our only way of having a child together. Adoption is out as it is so hard to adopt with adoption rules and the cost and I have had cancer which ended up with me having a hysterectomy so I can not carry a baby myself. Is there any groups anyone knows of or any more information you could give me. We are good people and he deserves to be a dad, he has no children. I have had 2 children before the cancer but to have that option taken away from my husband and I is horrible. He is the man I would have wanted all my children too.

Surrogacy in Australia is not legal unless the woman is doing out for free. You can not pay someone to carry your child. And it's very hard to find someone you don't know to do so out of the kindness their heart. You can look at going through India or Thailand but it's not cheap your still looking at paying a good 10,000 aus dollars if not more.

I realise this, the surrogate mum can not benefit financially from it. I understand how hard it will be to find someone but its worth the try I feel. We are how ever allowed to pay the medical costs.
