Playground safety

Hi ladies :) I think this is something that I'd like to put out there more than anything as food for thought :) We went to the local park yesterday with my 7yo and 5yo. There were quite a lot of kids on the play equipment. My daughter was on the swing and I was sitting a few metres away watching and enjoying the afternoon. There were also some very young kids and one of them crossed in front of the swings and unfortunately my daughter hit him as she (obviously) was unable to stop the swing! I ran to the little boy he was crying and his mum came out of nowhere (mind you I was there for half an hour before this happened and the lady wasn't nearby) and got really upset with me because my girl "hit her son" I decided to not escalate the argument and I removed my DD from the swing area. Unfortunately the lady didn't stay around and five min later the poor boy got hit (this time harder) by another kid on the (same) swing. The mum came back and took the little boy to the car and left screaming out the window that we were all cows with feral kids. I always tell my kids to be gentle especially when there are young tots around, but please mums, check on them! This poor baby (he was around 1yo) could've gotten really hurt. I know that when we take the kids to play we are also looking for a little break, but please stay around and keep your children safe :)

How awful. I dont let my 2 year old loose for that reason, no sense of danger.
