short cervix

I'm currently 19weeks and 4 days pregnant with baby #2 I have just been told I have a short cervix at only 2cm in which I have been told about high chance of premature birth I have just started on a progesterone that I have to insert every night to 35 weeks to help strengthen my cervix basically what I'm after is has anyone else been told this or had to use this tablet and what was your outcome
I'm kind of stressing it will end badly when I know I shouldn't
Thank you

My first child was 10 weeks early which was quite a shock and there was no time to investigate why. My second child I had extra precautions and was just on 30 weeks when I felt the change. I demanded an ultrasound to find that my cervix was completely affaced with funneling and bub engaged ready to go. I was only ever given steriods and complete bedrest with weekly check ups as is was too late for any other measures. We ended up lasting till 37 weeks :) Those 7 weeks were the most painful of my life but it is possible to make it! What a stressful time for you, put your feet up and good luck mumma xx
