I have a wonderful 2 yr old boy who has lately started spitting. We have both explained that spitting is not something a boy should do and it is very "yuck". He has now started in the past week to spit AT people. Other kids and adults. We are appalled and have tried many types of discipline but nothing seems to be helping. It is a disgusting and embarrassing habit. Has any other parents had this problem and if so how did you sort it out? TIA :)

Maybe try and stick to one form of discipline. It takes kids a while to realise that you will be persistent and consistent, they won't understand it as well if you are always switching around what the punishment is.
When is he spitting at people? Is it totally random or when someone approaches him? Does he think it's funny or is he angry or upset when he spits? Does he look happy or sad when you discipline him?
