How is your finance split up? Rent/Mortgage, insurance, groceries, spending, etc? If there are two incomes, are the costs split evenly? Just wondering how other families work it.

All money goes into a joint account. In the beginning we had an allowance for incidentals but we don't bother now. We sit down once a fortnight and discuss the finances, bills that are coming up etc and any major expenses.
My income goes into my account, DP income goes into a joint account. Our mortgage is paid fortnightly from my account and we have a personal loan repayment which comes out the alternate fortnight from the joint account. I manage all finances and DP would have no idea how to use BPay ect. He carries the credit card in his wallet so if he needs to buy some thing he can. I use my account, I just pay the bills out of whichever account has funds. Nothing is split 50/50 it's just 'our' money not his or mine.
My 'husbands' money pays for everything from his account, which I control (we both have a card though).
Any left over or money I make is saved.
We have two incomes they both go into our joint account. All bills get paid from their and if we need to buy anything we talk about it first.
Partner pays rent and groceries I pay bills from my centerlink he earns about 600 I get about 200 ... I ask him to help if I'm surf or offer to pay for groceries when I can it was the only way we couldn't so it to stop the fights - we have barely had a fight since doing it this way whereas before would have heated arguments with all the money pooled and me controlling it - now it's split exactly the same lol just if the rents not there it's his problem not mine
My husband had all control of finances when he was the only one working which I think is fair. Now that I am working aswel we share finances.
