Hi IMs,
I'm completely gutted. My 2 1/2 yo started acting out and after some questioning (I'm a trained counsellor) she disclosed some very graphic descriptions of how her child carer violated her. There is no way she would understand those words/phrases and he coached her very specifically that it was alright because he's kind now and reads her stories. My poor sweet baby girl is obviously struggling. We reported it to police who referred us to the specialist detectives. They questioned her and she would only tell them he hurt her feet and her mouth but not enough to press charges. They can only 'invite' him in for questioning.
I want to f@@@ing kill this animal and the police can do NOTHING!
Can anyone please offer advise if they've been in this situation. I want to warn other parents but can't because I'll be charged with defamation. We're considering suing him or hiring a private investigator. I have no idea what to do next (obviously we'll pursue specialized counseling for her) but as far as ensuring this pig cannot hurt other kids what can I do???

I'm a solicitors secretary And my boss just dealt with something like this.
See the police armed with a solicitor !
My family went through this a number of years ago with a family daycarer. It was my brother and a group of kids who were abused. I was young but in school so wasn't directly affected. I'm so sorry this is happening to you it is genuinely horrendous. Please seek legal advice straight away. Sending hugs to you x
So sorry x This happened in our daycare 12 months ago. We were all called and had to pick up our children, with no explanation. Even after the alleged was found to be innocent, we were still unaware of what (if anything) had happened. Turned out that the parent of the child was biased against male carers. It was devastating for the centre, as their name was dragged through mud. The centre was reopened and we have had no issues. So i advise that you tread carefully, as in our case, the alleged abuse was coming from inside the family---the carer was just a convenient target.
