Hi IM's, I have a couple of quick questions in regards to solid feeding babies.
- how old was your baby when you started solids and how much did they eat?
My son is 5 1/2 months old and I started him on solids a couple of weeks ago as I couldn't keep up with his appetite. So far, he has dinner with my partner and I and I am considering starting solids at lunch as well. We're doing baby led weaning but he can't seem to get enough food! He'd probably eat constantly if I let him. I breastfeed him right before eating, he cleans his plate, and then I feed him right before bed an hour or two later, but he still wakes up at midnight hungry!
I read that the "average" baby normally eats between 1 - 3 tablespoons of food but I also know that every baby is different. So I was wondering how old your baby was when started on solids and how much did they eat in the early stages?
How much did your baby eat when first introduced to solids?
