'Happy' Christmas?

Does anyone else get the Christmas blues? It's supposed to be the 'happiest' time of year, but every year I find it hard...

Every year since I was about 13. My history of abuse has a lot to do with it but I also have no relationship with my family or my husbands. So the last few years Xmas has been me wishing I could stay in bed and sleep through it. I absolutely hate Christmas. This year I am spending the day at home with my hubby and children. Xmas night I have an amazing girlfriend coming over who other than my SIL (who was my best friend for 20+ years until a fall out over a year ago) completely understands me. Even though I can't ask for a better way to spend it I still feel down and out about it. No tree no carols and no extended family! Bring on Boxing Day I say!!!

Yep I'm exactly the same! I get really stressed all of December with everything to do with it and just hang out for it to be over. Feels crap when everyone else seems excited about it. Don't know why but have hated it since I was a teenager. Good to know I'm not the only one

I'm not feeling it this year. I thought I had myself in the right head space, but then over the past few days have spiralled again. I really need to perk up for the sake of my boys, I'm just finding it hard. What is worse is I can't seem to pin point a reason. Just feeling blue.
