That they're a Dad, just like a Mum is a Mum, and they're just as entitled to be there.
I think theyre being active parents & thats awesome. My husband does these things and i love that he does. I hope themum is having a sleepin!
I think nothing! I may have a sneaky perve at the pool though ;)
my ovaries explode! Lol, just kidding, its awesome, my dad was an involved dad, and my husband is an involved dad and its brilliant. Just wish it was the norm and we didnt have to think anything of it!
I think I wish my son had a dad like that
There is a dad in my daughters swimming class. He brings his daughter every week and I've never thought anything of it? He's just a parent taking his child to class.
A parent playing an active role in their Childs lives. What else is there to think?
I've seen many of dads at swimming lessons (we've been going for about 4yrs now so have been a few come and go). I've had many convos with dads too in the pool, was going to ask for a phone number for playdates with our little girls but thought i might be a little weird seeing we were both married. I wish my hubby could attend swimming lessons but alas his work hours don't really allow it. Its great that a dad can be hands on.
i know of situations where people have complained or commented or been uncomfortable at dancing when fathers have been in a position where they have to be changing their child in the dressing areas. its sad really.
I think its a sad world where dads cant have an active roll in their children's lives without being judged by moronic people!
we should celebrate dad's who take interest in their children's lives! Who are supportive and involved!
To answer this question honestly, id think NOTHING because I wouldnt take notice because as far as im concerned dads and mums are both parents and parents do parent things like take their kids to dance and swimming and gymnastics and footy and cricket etc...
I think it's awesome and how lucky is the dad that he gets to take part. My husband does gym classes when he can which isn't very often, he loves to see the improvement over time. My son really enjoys it too and responds well to the other dad's.
I think it's great to see dads involved! It's usually the mums who you see at the kids events so when I see a dad it's a refreshing change from the usual dead beats we hear so often about.
As a wife who's hubby takes my daughter swimming it made sense as she is a daddy's girl and only swims when he takes her. If it's me she is a nightmare and she wastes her lesson. What shits me me off is the judgements in hubby taking his child to the pool, and lack of facilities for male parents with daughters. There is no way he wants to take our child in the male change rooms but finds the wait for the disabled/unisex rooms is enormous, mostly filled with lazy people who can't be bothered going to the correct rooms.
