Hi all
I have just hit rock bottom with burn out syndrome and depression. I am seeing a psychologist and I have increased my medication also I've been put on valium.
My question is how do I make my family understand how serious this is ?

It may be worth checking with your psychologist to see if they will do a group session with your family. I did this early this year as I struggled to be able to verbalise to them clearly what my feelings were. It was a safe environment, I had the support of my therapist who knew what I wanted to get across and she kind of facilitated discussions and got my family to verbalise their feelings etc and there was no fighting or misunderstanding as it was all mediated by my psych.
Oh my..... some days I just give up trying to get my hubby to understand. My kids r young (2 & 4) so I keep it simple, mummy's a bit sad today, it's ok to be sad etc but everyone's story is different. Maybe try writing a letter or getting ur gp or psych to talk to them. Good luck xox
