Placenta covering part/all of cervix

I'm wanting to hear from mums that have had their placenta covering part/all of their cervix. I was told today that it is partially covering but received not much other info apart from watching what I lift etc. Just after other mums experience with this and if you had any problems. Thanks, have a great day :)

The person who did my ultrasound was worried about mine being low lying. She said it can obstruct baby coming through safely so chances are you will have a C section. Mine turned out to be just high enough, so I don't know any more than that sorry.

My placenta was completely covering my cervix. Usually it will naturally move up enough to birth naturally so depending on how far along you are there might still be time for it to move. I ended up going into labour at 29 weeks so mine didn't have time to move so i had a c section.

I was told at my morphology scan that my placenta was "low lying." I was called back 6 weeks later to see if it had moved. It hadn't and I was told that I had grade 4 placenta prévia and that it wasn't likely that it would move enough for a natural birth so I signed all my c/section papers.
I ended up in hospital for 5 weeks with bleeding at 28, 29, 33 and 34 weeks, I had bub at 34 weeks via emergency csection.

Of course the placenta can move. Once it moves out of the way, it won't go back! So fingers are crossed that yours gets out of the way!

Listen to the whole "no heavy lifting and bed rest" thing. I moved house at 28 weeks and woke up bleeding. At 33 weeks the hospital sent me home on bed rest and I decided to decorate the nursery instead and bled that night.
Best of luck!

Mine was 'low lying' during 2nd pregnancy at 19wks. Had to have another scan at 38 weeks and due tk womb growing outwards and upwards, placenta moved too! Only 3 hours labor, all natural, perfect little girl :)
