After having our 4th child almost 13 months ago I underwent a tubal ligation at the time of my c-section, at age 35.
The recovery was a little slower than my 3 previous c-sections due to this procedure and I had 4 days in hospital with an elevated heart rate.
Over all, everything was going good until my periods restarted about 3 months after the procedure. I started having extremely heavy flow, I had massive blood clots (and I mean really massive) excruciating pain during ovulation and period in my ovarian region radiating across to my uterine area, abdomen and lower back. The complete opposite to what I consider my normal cycle to be.
I have had scans, blood tests etc etc and "Nothing of significance has been identified"
I have researched my symptoms, as best as I can, and the recurring answer I am getting is Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome (PTLS)
My question is, how many other mums are suffering with these symptoms following their Tubal Ligation? What treatments etc have worked for you? Has anyone actually been formally diagnosed with PTLS (as some say that it isn't a widely recognised condition)?
What has changed since having Tubal Ligation

I haven't had a tubal ligation BUT my grandmother did and she had exactly your symptoms it got to the point my dad had to carry her into ER as she couldn't stand or walk due to so much blood she lost. She was passing blood clots that where about a kilo in size. she ended up getting a full hysterectomy, it was the only thing that would stop it.
