nappy problems

Hi any suggestions appreciated... my 18 mth old son hates having his nappy changed. He kicks and sqirms to the point he has injured my shoulder.
I have tried distracting him with toys, books, other people. I've tried using nappy pants, all to no avail. If anyone has any idea's what to try...my shoulder is eternally grateful :)

I toilet trained at 14 months because of the nappy wars... By 18/19 he was out of nappies :) but now he battles to be naked all the time anyways haha but cos he's toilet trained I let him. Could you start to toilet train?

I think I'm going to have to. The tv idea didn't work either. Not many options left. Lucky summer is coming

My daughter was like that! AHHHH Maybe time to toilet train? My first child took was older and took a long time to toilet train so I didn't think little one would be ready- but she was, and as soon as I gave her knickers instead of nappies just used potty.. And at night- refused nappies too and was dry every night! My eldest was still using nappy pants at nights- (4 yr old!) and less than two year old nothing.. Go figure.. Different bladders, diff personalities.. Good luck !
