Male drug use & pregnancy

Currently have mixed emotions plus pregnancy hormones.
Anyway baby's dad called it off 2months ago but was happy to stay friends and try work things out (wasn't a bad break up) then found out on Saturday that he was actually cheating one with a ex gf, who he is now back with (was first she's a jealous ex then Saturday night really good friend) that's where my mixed emotions kick in (sad, happy, angry). Today I was talking to a good friend who then told me he actually knows him from years ago and is was a ice addict (some signs show he still uses, I've just realised) anyway at the start of my pregnancy baby was measuring alot smaller then normal but now at 8months baby is up to correct measurements or close enough. So my question is, can a males sperm if his using, effect a foetus so early on?

Please be kind when answering so I'm a total mess at the moment and not even sure this makes sense.

I would try not to stress too much, if everything at your checks is normal then baby sounds like they are progressing well. That is something to worry about only if they say something is wrong. Try to stress less and focus on looking after you and your little one <3 You do not need to add to it when he has been a bit of a douchebag

Get proof of ice use that will mean he can’t take the baby. You have to take care of yourself and your baby and over time it will be more difficult but you could get it now, and then he’ll need to be tested. It’ll save you a lot of heartache over your child’s well-being in future.

Male Fertility Impacts
In men, meth use interferes with fertility in many ways. Prolonged meth abuse reduces sperm count and damages the sperm which remain. Sperm motility (ability to swim) is reduced, and there is significant DNA damage to the sperm that do retain motility. Meth use also reduces blood testosterone levels, as well as inhibits the balance of hormones that maintain healthy reproductive function. All of the effects which have been studied were dose-dependent meaning that the more meth used, the stronger the effects

(That was copied from a quick Google search) - so answer to your question is yes his drug use would have had some form of impact on his fertility/sperm. Google has some good information (just beware that you use actual medical sites for your information - as anything can be Posted online nowadays). Other than doing a little of your own research I strongly suggest you talk to your Dr about all your concerns around this situation.
Also keep in mind with the use of ice, it effects everyone differently and medical studies/tests are done with controlled dosages so just because it happened to "apples baby" doesn't mean it will happen to you and your baby.

Try not to stress too much about it but totally understand your concerns!

Good luck the rest of the pregnancy, hope it all goes well x

These are questions you should ask an OBGYN about.

I’ve had 2 children to a meth user, I’m talking multiple times a day, every day use - which I didn’t know, but reasonable suspected.

Both my babies were perfectly healthy and are very smart and intelligent little people now.
