Kissing on the lips

Kissing on the lips

I'm just wondering what others see as normal. I happily kiss my 1 year old daughter on the lips, and she does it back. My husband thinks this is a bit weird and he wont kiss her on the lips. His family is not affectionate, whereas mine still kiss on the lips on occasion. I didn't even realise we did it until he pointed it out. So is it always okay to kiss your kids on the lips, or is there an age limit?

I kiss my kids on the lips but have started teaching my 20mth old to also kiss on the cheek because my hubby is the same and thinks it's a bit weird so turns his head when she tries to kiss him. So now we just say kiss on the cheek and point to our cheek or the person she is going to kiss and she does :)
Everyone is different just teach bub that it's ok to kiss mummy/daddy on the lips but to kiss others on the cheek :)

Both myself and husband kiss our 2 year old son on the lips. I have never even thought anything into it. He also kisses close family on the lips, grandma, nan & pop. I personally don't think it is a big deal as long as it isn't to everyone eg ppl they just meet. But would love to hear others opinions as well. Maybe it is something we need to start trying to limit?

I kiss all my kids on the lips! My eldest is 10 and youngest is 2....I don't see a problem with it :D Unless they are sick then I try my hardest not to kiss on the lips (always end up sick too though lol)

It is entirely personal and it has a great deal to do with how you are raised. No affection in my family growing up and now I am uncomfortable hugging or kissing, even with those closest to me.
