getting my mother into rehab

Mother into rehab
My mother who is 49 has had a drug and alcohol problem for more than 10 years.
She has finally taken a step forward admitting she needs help. She has also been told by her GP that if she doesn't stop drinking she will be dead with in 6 months.
My sister and myself have found a rehab facility in Sydney run by the Salvation Army and our mother called them yesterday to commit to treatment. Problem is they were busy and said they would call back. It's now 24 hrs later and still nothing. I guess my question is where can I turn to and is it really this hard to get help quickly. Thanks in advance.
