If you were in my position what would you do. I currently work 1 day a week or some weeks 1 day a fortnight. I'm in the medical field and have school hours which is great. With the cost of living im wanting more work. shift work may be available but that puts pressure on us due to no family and no before and after school options for children (not offered at all in our area). I have been offered work out of my field which is a few days a week no stress, can accommodate school times ect. Would you stick to your current job industry with the added pressure in work and on family life or take the extra work with no added stress and a little extra money per week. I'm torn between industry and just saying bugger it I don't care and just work the 3 days out of my preferred industry that suits home life better.

Can you keep your one day a week and take on the other job as well? That way you're keeping yourself in your chosen field until your kids are old enough to be home by themselves. It will be harder to get back into it if you completely pull out.
Choose the role that will fill your bucket. It is hard working in a job that isn’t doing what you enjoy.
