Health anxiety mums, please give me some tips how you cope with it.
I have always had severe health anxiety and make myself sick over having any tests done. The tests themselves don’t really bother me as much as the results.
Each time I need to have a test, it’s traumatic and just booking in the tests, put off and I can’t do it.
I was going along ok for a while, over come a lot of tests, which wasn’t easy and quite traumatic for me and all were pretty good results, nothing major.
I’ve got to book another test in, just looking at the paper makes me feel so sick, that I need to put it where I can’t see it.
I need to overcome this and book the test in how do others deal with their health anxiety.?
I know i am not alone as I hear of it frequently from people but never know how bad they really are and I never let on how bad I am.
My heart is racing just typing this and thinking about it. I will be seeing a psychologist, when the availability comes up but until then if you any advice to help, I am here anxiously reading, your replies.
I’m Already on medication to try and help relax me. I wish I was one of those people that could just ring up and book it in and have it done the next day and no worries. This is crippling fear, that isn’t good for my health and I need to overcome it.

You're not alone sweetheart. This was me for 26 yrs . I've overcome it now, but I've been where you are . I was even hospitalised bcoz my mental health was so bad. I always thought I was dying of something, it was horrendous. . Lots of people get better naturally on their own . It can take years . It did with me, and I'm still here. So too, will you.
