Can Crohns / colitis be missed ?

Hey ya is there anyone in this field or have experience with gut issues. I am having some kind of flare up with my gut in pain along with wide spread random spots of pain I can’t help but think that maybe chrohns has been a missed diagnosis. Can chrohns be missed? I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy which was negative to this condition. Should I accept the diagnosis and be certain that I don’t have it or is there a chance that I do and it’s been missed. My question here is, can it be missed?Has anyone else ever had this condition missed in these tests.? My Dr says No and that if it was negative then I definitely don’t have it but I am not certain. This isn’t wanting medical advice, just an answer from anyone that may know. TIA

You can always go for repeated scope with more biopsies but u most likely will pay for it privately

Yes I paid private in the past and don’t really want to pay again, if it’s not really something that they would miss in the first one. I am just at my wits end on what to do next. I think a naturopath.

If testing is negative, it's very likely negative.
There can be many reasons why you have pain. Lack of microbiome diversity, dysfunctional motility, stress, poor diet, food intolerance or sensitivities etc.
I had a whole heap of testing via my GP last year due to bowel issues, all negative. Saw a naturopath that specialises is gut health, after three months felt so much better. All inflammatory symptoms gone.
I can understand why you would be asking this, because you need an answer for treatment to feel better. Just because it's not crohns, doesn't mean that something else is going on. Perhaps try a different health practitioner, even if it's another doctor.

Thank you for this helpful information. I will try a naturopath that specialises in gut health. I am so fed up. I have been private and paid for my tests, it cost me a fortune and I have been to several different specialists and easily 5 different Drs. It’s at the point now, that no one is interested due to all testing that has ruled things out. They continue to pass me off back to each other. It’s cost me a lot of money and still no answers. I have even been to ER twice and sent home after blood work was ok.
