What to eat at night?

What low cal food do u like to snack on at night when watching tv?
My only "me time" is at night when the kids are asleep and I tend to eat junk while watching tv.
I'm looking for healthier options or tips on how to snack less at night?
I eat a well balanced diet but I don't lose weight because I'm eating ALL THE ICE CREAM or all the TIMTAMS!
I've tried a cuppa tea but I need something sweet or crunchy and I hate carrots and celery.
There's gotta be other snack foods that are lower in calories that will hut the spot?

So I have gestational diabetes and my dietician has recommended protein as the best snack to have at night. For me I have a couple of tablespoons of Greek yoghurt with some blueberries and sprinkle of granola on top. I eat it with a teaspoon so it takes a little longer to eat. Peanut butter on rice cakes, a slice or two of meat or half a muesli bar were some other suggestions she made

I find just not having those things in the house are my main defence to eating them. I really only buy those things for ‘special occasions’.
I can’t will power myself out of eating something, but I’m not keen to drive to the shops at night to buy them.
I have a popcorn machine.
I also find doing things with my hands while I watch tv helps, so I see/knit/craft/sudoku

You could do toast with Nutella or peanut butter. Apple with Nutella or choc chips is good. Choc covered rice cakes. For me I just had to break the habit completely. Have a cup of tea and a tiny snack if you want, but set a time and then close it. Ie) I’ll have my cuppa then have a shower and go to bed. it’s different in your mind to the idea of ‘snacking’ while watching tv, which could go on for a while, there’s no end and a small snack isn’t enough to fill that idea. To be honest I’d rather have my chocolate fix in the afternoon before dinner now.

Have a cuppa and a small serve of the chocolate or icecream, then brush your teeth and find something to do with your hands. I found brushing my teeth was the key to cutting the desire to eat, nothing tastes right then!

Popcorn with sugar free maple syrup or something similar on top. Sugar free jelly with whipped cream with the stevia sugar to sweeten it. Or buy icecream but have it in a cone or have a paddle pop. Paddle pops are only 100 cals. I have a massive sweet tooth too.
