Can someone please help me decipher something?
I got an email from my manager saying I need to attend a low level work performance meeting. Does this mean I’m getting fired?

Sometimes it's just about talking about your strengths and areas of improvement and forward planning for the next year which they will make out are your goals but really it's for the company. Do not be afraid to negotiate if they try to present anything nasty. Know your value.
From the specific language used, they will give you feedback and discuss ways you can improve etc.
I take this as a discussion around your performance and formal written notice of your performance
Ask them what it is, so that you can prepare, nothing good comes from ambushing someone. Ask what you should bring.
I would assume they're planning to address some performance issues with you and possibly make a plan for performance management.
To be honest, this should never come as a shock to employees. If it is, I encourage you to seek out and bring a trusted support person with you if possible. This should never be a 1:1 meeting. Be open to any feedback they're giving but also honestly assess whether, in the face of the performance issues they bring up, are their expectations of your role and performance clear? If this is about KPIs or work "output", are their expectations of what's required of you 100% transparent and not left up to you (or others) to decipher or interpret.
You’ll likely be given a warning and or put on a PIP (performance improvement plan). If you fail the PIP then you may be fired.
This will be happening because of repeated low performance.
