Super

Probably a silly question but who do you speak to about getting the most out of your super?
I don't have as much as I would like and talking to the super fund in with feels like they're looking after themselves, not out to give advice.
Thanks

A financial advisor. You'll find thats who you're talking to at the fund if strategy or contribution advice is given. (Only licensed advisors can legally give advice.)

An independent advisor might suit you better. You need to be comfortable with who you are seeing. Fees can be expensive, BUT the payoff is worth it. Find one via the moneysmart.gov.au website.

Just so you know, ANY financial advisor has to give you all options, by law. They are not allowed to push you in in any direction, just explain, show you projections etc and put your choices in place.

Do you pay into your super too?
Back when I earned my lowest income I put extra into super to get the max co contribution. Every little bit helps, but the sooner the better.
