Hi Mums. My husband works in a female dominated industry. One of his co workers recently left, and he had sent her a message saying “ Are you missing me yet?” In a joking context. There was no malice in her reply, but it seems flirty on his behalf. Would you be mad if you were me? Super out of the ordinary for him.

On its own, no!
I’ve definitely asked female friends this, and had female friends ask me this.
If out of the ordinary then he’s joking cos he probably drove her batty. If they worked together a long time and got on with colleagues I would say they had jokes but also respect, as his text and her reply seem to show, and wouldn’t give it time.
I have said this to people before and 'did you miss me' if I'd been away for longer than usual. Never meant anything by it.
Yer he was fishing to see how she responded
hmmm a bit dodgy.
that phrase can be innocent, obviously, but in this context, I think it's not quite right.
Seriously? No way!!! Very normal
Nah, it's something I'd send without any malice at all.
And my partner left his job recently, and has sent variations of that to a bunch of people, male and female. All the replies were funny & friendly 🤷♀️
Really nothing to worry about at all. Most people use it when they have been giving someone the shits. I used to say it to my boss whenever I came back from school holidays because I know I used to get on her nerves in a joking way. If you have a really good think about the old TV sitcoms you will probably remember the really annoying characters saying it too like Steve Urkle (or however you spell it).
Nah, I'm a woman and I usually get asked this if I run into someone that worked here (or if they call me looking for a favour).
My answers are pretty standard, from saying we're still blaming them for all mistakes to once they left they're dead to me.
Why so jealous? Calm down the guys done nothing wrong .
