Medical certificate

Medical certificate

I had to take today off work as I’m not well but was unable to get into a dr. I was able to get a medical certificate online but I’m worried it won’t be accepted. Has anyone had any issues with them not being accepted?

FYI pharmacists can also issue certificates

I get online ones all the time if I just have one day for like a migraine that doesn't need an actual consultation. I've never been questioned. It's still a legal med cert.

Also you don't LEGALLY have to supply a cert unless you have 3 days or more. That's Fair Work law. So don't be bullied over it.

Pharmacist ones can be rejected but online ones can't because they are from a medical practitioner

You can get a statdech from the chemist, or a medical certificate on a phone appointment then emailed to you

It will be accepted
You can also get one via telehealth, I often call the following day for the consult if I’m too unwell or can’t get a consult booking 👍

Depends who you work for. My work doesn’t accept online ones and I work for a government agency.

Even the telehealth type ones? Unsure if there are others but mine you have to be face to face as if with own doctor online appointment.

I only use online for this reason plus it annoys the heck out of me I am wasting a precious slot for a simple certificate. My work accepts them and they can be annoying at times when staff have time off.
