Hello, wondering whether anyone can recommend someone to help with setting this up?. I'm wanting to purchase a property within the super fund. Not quite sure where to start? Any advice is also appreciated! In Brisbane too, not sure if that matters, could probably do over the phone or internet. Thanks all!

You need an SMSF accredited financial advisor. I can't recommend in Brisbane, sorry. My partner is one, though. A lot of his clients live far away so it's all done remotely, no need to be close by.
There's ridiculously strict rules around SMSF property so ensure the advisor explains these to you before commiting. No idea on outcomes but they seem popular.
As someone with experience in the industry, you definitely need to speak to someone specialising in SMSF set up and administration because they are fairly in-depth and there's a bunch of requirements to comply with. The other thing is ensuring your investment strategy is balanced - no advisor worth their salt would recommend putting all your money into one type of investment. There's no predicting the market and what it might be doing if you have to sell up for cash flow.
But definitely find someone to talk to about it.
