Mortgage broker / banks

Hi I am after some info on banks and who people have had the best experience with, with home loans.

We are currently with ANZ and looking at our options for better interest rates. we would also like to look at buying another property but this would most likely be too hard now with the rent increases and home sales.

Is there any mortgage brokers around the Gold Coast, who you can recommend. Who you have used personally and not just someone you know.

We would like someone who knows their stuff.

Or who has found which bank to be the best when it comes to home loans? I know each bank is different but I’d like to know my options before approaching them.

Is a mortgage broker our best option for a better deal.?

Remember if you get a new loan, you need to reapply from scratch, show bank statements (3-6 mths depending), ensure income enough to service loan, all that crap.
I absolutely hate all that so I would approach current lender first and see if they can provide a better rate.
If you aren't happy after that, I would see a broker, hopefully you get some good recommendations here.

I'm going to go to my bank also, but I won't be changing if they don't reduce, it was too traumatic last time getting the loan lol and I would need to clean my bank statement so to speak i.e. spend very little for the next 3 months!
It's just not worth the hassle for me.
But I am a single mum, just got over the line last time, although my pay has increased a lot since then, I have taken out a car loan. If you have good income, don't let my negativity deter you.
