I was writing a novel, but heres the short question.
My ex partner and I have two kids, we've had a personal agreement between us about visitation, and have never been to court over the children.
Anyways, I've asked to change the agreement to make it more fair for holiday time spent together.
He is threatening to take me to court over holiday visitation and says that he'll get it to court and sorted out before Christmas this year.
My question is, doesn't he have to do mediation first?? It wont go straight to court will it?? I'm just a bit unsure.

The only way it can go to court is if either of you don't show for mediation and don't solve it in mediation.
It would look bad for whoever didn't show to mediation in court.
It's unlikely he would get a court date before Christmas as it will take time to wait for mediation appointment etc and it's almost November lol
