Vitamin D infusion

Vitamin D infusion

Does anyone know if you can get vitamin D infusions? I am finding I forget my tablets and my vitamin D is very low. I would love to know if I can get an infusion. To bring my levels up quicker and have one less tablet to rememer to take. I also feel terrible and wonder if it’s related to the low vitamin D. All other bloods are fine. Has anyone else notices a difference in vitamin D levels? Does it affect you, to the point that you can notice that you are deficient or is it only because it’s picked up in blood test.? I know when my iron is low and my vitamin B, they are both good at the moment, so would I notice vitamin D.? I’d be interested see hear others takes on this. Thanks for any info and if infusions are avail, any recommendations around the Gold Coast, to have the infusion. TIA

Low vitamin D can make you feel fatigued! The best way of absorbing it is sunshine. Get yourself outside more often.

I am always out side it’s a Catch 22 as I know to be covered due to melanoma in my family. My skin specialist advise me to limit sun exposure and smother myself in sunscreen anytime i am outdoors. So an infusion if possible would suit me best.

All I do is set an alarm on my phone to go off at the same time 7 days a week to take my vitamins.
Just on the off chance you decide to simply stick with the tablet form.

Thanks If I do forget it’s only one offs, it’s not everyday but I find an infusion better if it was an option. My level doesn’t seem to be rising with medication.

Did you know that fats help absorb vitamin d? Try taking your tab with eggs or avo on toast, or a serve of nuts.

Most won't recognise when vitamin d are low, unless experienced before.
I can tell when mine is low because I have general fatigue, muscle weakness, hair loss and skin rash.

Which vitamin D are you taking at which IU?

Should do the trick. Make sure you take it with food that has healthy fat in it , it's a fat soluble vitamin.

I had a dr describe a high dose that was a liquid and only had to take it monthly until my levels improved and then 3 monthly to maintain.. I also had to get this made up at a compound pharmacy as it isn't a regular medication. Maybe ask your GP for longer term options (I was the same and forgot tablets sometimes)
