How do you write a book about your life? Has anyone wrote a book about their life?
I genuinely have fought with PTSD and mental health since a young age and feel the need to deal with my traumatic life on paper. I've tried seeking help, however every time I opened up - it was their time to move on. I've tried to be medicated, but what's the point when popping a pill doesn't solve the issues in my head.
Does it help to write it all down or is it just a constant reminder of what's happened in my life?
Any advice or suggestions?

Start with a journal. Or maybe a few writing books. So depending on what you feel like writing at the time you’ll have somewhere to put it. At first a chapter might come out. Different experiences or ages. Or dot point notes. With writing you just have to get started, and you’ll be guided along as it grows.
I used Poetry as an outlet growing up and still do at times when I need to let it out. Other times the trauma is too recent to speak or write about. If you are in a place where you feel this will help you then do it. I would only suggest that you do not push yourself to write it to a timeline, rather write about the things you are ready to deal with and feel you can cope with. As someone with PTSD forcing myself to go back can end up triggering me. The people I leaned on the most passed away so I can relate to the moving on comment. I'm an even bigger hermit than ever now.
