Just curious. I’ve put on a couple of kgs. I am not overweight but I want to try and lose the couple of kgs I’ve put on before it becomes more of an issue. My diet is rubbish. I try to eat healthy - it’s not that I don’t enjoy healthy food but I struggle with cravings in terms of chocolate and chips, soft drink etc. I will usually drink coffee only until lunch then I will make something healthy but then it always always goes down hill after this. I will just stuff my face for the rest of the day. I won’t even feel like dinner because of what I’m eating but I’ll still eat it anyway. I’m going to start trying to go for a walk as of tomorrow. I’m thinking about maybe trying the keto diet? I’m at a loss of how to make my eating habits better

Keto is not a healthy long term diet. For sustainable and long term weight loss (and keeping it off) you need to make lifestyle changes that you've already identified. Often we try to go all in and then predictably fall off the wagon and fail to get back on again. Eliminate your empty calories first- do away with fizzy drinks and go with water. When you've made that change and no longer crave it move to your next step which may be limiting snacks, not eliminating, because life isn't like that! Continue to make healthy choices a bit at a time for long term fitness.
Keto is natures perfect diet. My husband is a dietician/ Chef , and we've both been on keto for 10 years and still are. He went from 162kg to 90kg and I went from 90kg to 57.5kg. Don't listen to anyone who says ketogenic eating isn't sustainable or 'bad' for you. It isn't.
