Pocket money 10 yr old

Im thinking of giving my child pocket money. He's 10. Ive never given him pocket money before.
Don't want to make it about chores but still thinking about that.
Just want to know if you have a 10 yr old how much pocket money have u given your child?
I think its a good learning experience, so he can buy something at school or save to buy something he really wants.
I was thinking like $5 a week but I honestly have no clue so wanting to see how much others have given (and Im aware it really depends on each family but a basic idea would be helpful).

I gave my kids $15 a week at that age. I think $5 is the new $2 everything has gone up so 10-20 is a bit more realistic if you want to teach them the old "spend some, save some".

5 is heaps at that age if you want to teach them the value of saving

I give my child $1 per year of age per week (they recently received a payrise when they turned 11) and they have additional things they can do to earn more $$. They have a Spriggy account where they can create savings goals and see their progress. Plus they have a card for spending their money.
