Ageing

I want to hear from people who have had tired and dull looking skin and have managed to bring it back to life! I am ageing, faster then I would like too, and I understand this is a natural part of life, I do. But I'm only in my thirty's and I'm always looking tired. My skin is starting to sag, I have a lot of freckles, my pores are huge, wrinkles are appearing everywhere, and my skin tone in itself just off. I want to hear if anyone has had bad skin and then turned it around. I eat well, I drink plenty of water, exercise regularly and have tried almost every beauty cream under the sun. Is it all a money making scheme? I have had Botox and filler, however filler really freaks me out and not something that I would like to do again. So has anyone been able to change there skin??? Thanks

I am 42 and have had bad skin in the past and always looked older than I was through my 30's. My skin now is much better, all I do is soap and cold water and a really good moisturizer from Dr Lewins. Soap and water is underated it really tightens pores and cleans them out. I've also been taking vitamins C, D, B and iron, not for skin but for fatigue and immune system if I catch covid or flu but I think it's helped my skin too as I have a glow and it just looks a lot fresher and less tired.

Sunscreen with a good spf rating daily! And also wear hats and sun glasses as often as possible.

Obviously that won't reverse damage that's already been done but it definitely prevents more from occurring (whilst also protecting you from melanoma).

Aside from that, you may benefit from seeing a dermatologist for targeted advice because skin care is very personalised, what works for one person may not work for the next.

Get dermabrasion, red light therapy and a chemical peel. I'm 50 and have the skin of someone 20 years younger bcoz I do these religiously, including fillers, threads and botox . Only downside is the expense.

Try a facial by a professional at a skincare clinic. They can tailor the treatment to you and it really makes a difference! They can also give you product suggestions which may help with issues you are having with your skin.

I feel you. I started doing something for my skin 4 years ago, I’m 35 now and my skin is finally looking decent. I have melasma still but have managed to find a glow. Spf 50+ made the biggest difference, I was dabbling on beauty pages for a good 2 years trying to work it out myself and getting prescription creams online (my GP would never give a “vanity” script 😂) before I cut the crap and consulted a dermatologist online through QR8 for a prescription compound. The prescription cream along with a cheap hyaluronic acid, vitamin c and spf 50+ has been a god send. My skin is by no means hot shit but I atleast look my age now 😂❤️ The only thing I’ll be looking into in the future is Botox and fillers but for now I’m happy. Try pages like You Beauty for a crash course x

I have started using retrieve cream, you need to get a dr prescription for it. Don't use it if you want more children as it can cause birth defects. My face is pretty good, but i have a lot of sun damage/wrinkles on my neck and chest. After 3 months there is definite improvement, and it can apparently take up to 12 months for full results. It can make your skin much more sun sensitive so you need constant sunscreen. Good luck.
