Help I feel so gross and embarrassed by facial hair on my chin and neck. It started after having my daughter when I was about 20-21 years old and I have tried many ways to rid myself of it but because its hormonal and some of it is also light things like laser don't completely fix it and are too expensive. I guess more then anything I just want to feel like I'm not alone in this and how others cope with it. I am a busy mum who doesn't have the time to spend over an hour plucking which at the moment seems to be the best option but is so time consuming I often walk out the door looking a little hairy. I don't know I try and forget it sometimes but I cant even feel comfortable having someone sit next to me, is there a solution or will I forever have to deal with this.

I'm assuming you've already seen a doctor or specialist? If not that's the first thing I would be doing. I would go get lazer! Yes it is expensive but you know what it's worth it. Sometimes you just have to put yourself first...
If you've got dark hair is be doing lazer. Your not alone! I have really black whiskers on my chin that I have to pluck. They started appearing in my late 20s and seems to run in my family.
If your hair is light you can shave it, shaving does not cause your hair to grow back thicker or faster (despite the myth). Or you could try waxing and that can take 4-6 weeks to grow back
I'm the same. I find a few mins a day plucking keeps on top of it. If I let it go a week it's allot more time consuming. Alternative is waxing.
Babe I tweeze my beard every day!!!! I'm considered attractive by most, athletic , long blonde hair , bright blue eyes..... Few people know I tweeze my beard daily lol!! And since pregnancy my boobs need attention to the stray hair there too!!!!
Don't feel bad start to tweeze though that way you don't have to wait for length before you wax and people won't notice xx
Yes i have pcos and after my 1st child i was so depressed about the chin/neck hair! I had laser done every couple of months until pregnancy no. 2. After childbirth couldnt wait to start up laser again, think it took about 5yrs and now i just get the odd one but much lighter, not like thick black hairs i originally had. So if u can afford it I definately recommend, worked for me! If your in brisb i can recommend the one i went to (ps Hairfree franchises are crap)
Am I the only one who shaves rather than waxes? I have dark chin hair with really light mo. I shave the chin daily and have tried sessions of laser (had 5 sessions with no change). Same as you in too self conscious to go to a beauty therapist for waxing. You're not alone!
You are not alone. Im always scared my partner will catch me before I've plucked my few nipple/chest hairs haha. I havnt told anyone yet as I'm so embarrassed. I have pcos but thyroid is normal. I pluck. Its only happened since my having my daughter who is now a toddler. I'm mid 20s. I would love to get laser but too embarrassed to go in and ask to laser my chest haha.
It sounds odd but Sugar overload can cause an increase in hair growth. I halved my sugar intake and my excess hair drastically reduced and as a bonus lost a bit of weight.
