Groundhog Day

Groundhog Day

What do people do to have fun? I mean real, laugh out loud fun! Before kids I was such a chilled, easy going person and loved nothing more than going out with friends, movies, dinner, anything that was fun! Fast forward 10 years and I feel like life is groundhog day... I'm not interested in going out, in fact I am usually the first to come home if I do go out. My life revolves around housework, kids activities, breaking up fighting kids, more housework... I honestly feel like each day is just trying to get through till bedtime! I can't remember the last time I had a real belly laugh... I don't have any hobbies as I barely have time to read a book these days. I am feeling totally lost... Can anyone recommend some fun activities they do (that don't involve alcohol as I'm past the partying stage!) Or funny shows they watch? Anything really!

Bush walking, not trekking or mountain climbing or anything but just local bush walks.
Be a tourist in your own backyard. Japanese gardens, rose gardens, historic sites.
Council activities like concerts in the park, park run etc. Check your local council website.

The beach is our reset place. We always have fun there, no matter the moods we were in when we got there.

I also play netball - I always come away from training/playing feeling a little like my own person

I could have written this myself. I only know if something does not change I am going to be one bitter person. I think we both need to get out ;)
