Tween monthly issues

I'm really concerned about my daughter, she is 11 hitting puberty hard and fast and recently started her period however she seems to have so much pain with it. My older daughters never really had this issue with pain. But miss 11 seems to have super heavy bleeding, pain for the week before and the entire time during having it. My older daughters use bonds bloody comfy or love Luna undies but these aren't really working for her. I've spoken to her doctor who doesn't seem concerned and sort of brushed it off. My 12 and 16 year olds have it for 5 or 6 days yet miss 11 had it for 12 days last month. Surely this isnt normal??

See a different doctor! ‘Normal’ is different for every girl/woman, but get a second opinion if you feel something isn’t right. Don’t let her suffer without it being fully investigated.

You are correct. This is not normal, not for anyone. Be the advocate for your child. Change doctors, see a specialist. I had debilitating pain from my very first period. I missed out on so many special times with friends and school. I couldn't hold down a job. All the while being told this was in my head and I was exaggerating. I had endometriosis that grew back after surgery. Was on high levels of hormones all my life and was finally granted a hysterectomy at 47 after 3 months of uncontrollable bleeding and multiple hospital visits. Please get your daughter help, no one should have to suffer like this simply because they are a woman.
