Legal working temperature

Just wondering if anyone knows the legal temperatures someone can work under today the shed my mate works in reached 62 degrees and his work bench was sitting at 48.8 degrees After many years of trying to negotiate better working conditions nothing has been done. Who does he contact about this? He said he could hardly breathe. Surely this is highly dangerous.

It depends on your industry and what unions have done. For me today it was 44 degrees outside and 49 in my kitchen! Unfortunately it's the norm for our area and if we had a heat limit we wouldn't work very much December through to March. There were shearers working today in a tin shed too and that's very normal for them I don't know how they do it. You would need to check the industry as they are all different, there's no blanket rule for everyone. However if he was feeling ill because of the heat he should bring it up with his boss and if that doesn't work make a report to work safe.

If there was a heat limit my work would be screwed. Qld heatwaves and we are showering elderly residents in heated bathrooms with ppe on, it's bloody cruel!
Quite a few times I have felt dizzy and like I am going to passout
