Hey Ladies,
This isn't baby related but would love your help or input. I am after someone who works in the army to do a military service number search for me. The # I want is my fathers & unfortunately he passed away last year before I could ask him. I've rang the army & what that are asking of me is going to put me out of pocket & then there's still a 50/50 chance that they might not give me my fathers information even if I provide all documents. If anyone can help me, I would more then appreciate it x

my son is in the Army and unfortunately unless they are in the archived records section its not as easy as doing a service number search ...I'm presuming he was not a active member of the defence ...so records are only kept for a certain number of years then archived so what you have been told is the way to go and the correct path to take ...even if it was still on the defence file ppl could get into trouble accessing things like that , that has no relevance to them .... every bit of information kept on a solider is classified
How long ago was your father's service? You don't say in your post, but if he was say WW2 there's every chance you could find it online (if it was, and you need help, please ask :)). Maybe the number is also in your father's papers somewhere? Otherwise like Charmaine says, someone would get into a lot of trouble not going through the proper channels for this kind of info. Hope you find it (nothing like a good treasure hunt) x
