Growing up too quickly

Growing up too quickly

My eldest turned 10 recently and I'm proud of the young woman she's becoming, I realised also that in about 18 months, she will be starting high school. Am I the only one around who feels that time has gone way too fast and my children are growing up way too quickly? It seems like just yesterday that she was just learning to walk, etc. Can someone feel some sort of depression because their children are growing up so fast?

My only child is in his last year of high school and came home yesterday and said he would like to go to uni in Brisbane next year 😱😭 instead of going to our local uni (Sunny Coast). Went to bed excited for him but sad for me. It only seems like yesterday he was in Year 7 and now he is about to go out into the world. Once they get to high school they grow up in a blink of an eye.

Hi there, author here..

Nooooo! don't tell me that! I don't want her to grow up! Bricks on the head should stop that right?

You eventually just have to “go with it”. I am now enjoying my son being a young adult.
