I have a 10 week old bubba girl and she’s always been a spewy baby. Had the occasional choke on a spit up too which comes out her nose and mouth. But the last week she has been extra spewy and the nose spit ups have become a lot more frequent and she chokes every time. We do everything to try prevent it (keep her upright, burp her frequently, more smaller feeds etc) but nothing helps and most of these choking episodes happen at least 2 hours after a feed or as soon as we lay her down to nap. Doctors and midwives all say it’s normal And they aren’t concerned but last night after choking twice already yesterday, we were both asleep and I woke to her gasping for air and flapping her arms around because she couldn’t breathe. It terrified the both of us so I had her sleep with me for the night because I was too scared. I’m guessing because it’s so long after a feed and it’s curdled that’s why she struggles bringing it up but there’s got to be something else I can do apart from what I’m already doing. As I said, nothing helps at all and I feel like I’m missing something. She’s also been on the same formula for 5 weeks now so I don’t think it’s the formula. Anyone got any advice? Should I try a thickener? This is my 3rd baby and my second child had the occasional spit up and choke but nothing like my 3rd and I’m constantly on edge

Is she on reflux medication? It really does sound like you need to explore that option. You can try elevating the head end of the cot (if that's where she sleeps). If it's on casters, take them off and pop a couple of books or something non-slip under the legs at the head end.
Reflux. They dont medicate at that age, you need to switch to the formula.
I highly recommend Aptimal Reflux. Both my son and my niece are on it. My SIL made the switch after seeing how awesome my son did on it, as opposed to her daughter on Nan. Spitting up that much isn't normal
