My husband has been diagnosed with anxiety and our doc put him on Zoloft which helped immensely but he had side effects such as an extremely low sex drive and no appetite. She put him on another one which isn't as good as the Zoloft but his appetite still hasn't come back and his sex drive has only improved a bit. Like he's lost 7kgs from not being hungry which isn't the worst thing but he's worried it's not normal !!???
Any ideas?

How long had he been on the Zoloft and how long has he been on the new medication? Because it takes 2-3 months to truly adjust to a new medication and dosage and having no appetite and low sex drive are both common early side effects of antidepressants. Did the doctor try adjusting the dosage of the Zoloft down before switching medications?
