Hi, my partner and I have three kids together and is considering vasectomy. He is 53 and is a big guy. We have heard stories about weight gain after vasectomy and wonder if anyone has experience to share? Thank you.

Not a thing I’ve heard of at all. I can’t imagine what mechanism a vasectomy would cause weight gain.
Have quite a few male friends who have vasectomies.
Don’t buy into this
My husband had a vasectomy. He is also a big guy. He didn't gain any extra weight at all. Sounds like crap to me.
His sex drive increased though.
Weight gain from a vasectomy? Lol a bit of Chinese Whispers going on there. My ex had a vasectomy after our 5th child 20 years ago and he's still the same weight. Where have you heard such lies about vasectomy causing weight gain?
I’ve only heard this in terms of a pet (usually a dog) gaining weight after getting desexed 😂 but then a vet will quickly debunk that theory too.
My ex and my current partner both have had vasectomies and neither have gained any extra weight.
There is no interference with hormone levels so it makes absolutely no sense there would be weight gain.
Nope no change with hubby here. The hormonal pill and pregnancy made me put on weight though lol!
Nope no weight gain. Hubby is 33.
Even if there was a chance of weight gain who cares? How many pills and potions, not to mention pregnancies and babies cause us weight gain? We do it anyway lol.
