I suffer from depression, severe anxiety, ocd, social anxiety, ptsd, binge eating disorder, I cover almost all forms of mental health disorders. I’m 50 next year and simply can’t live like this anymore. I really need everyone’s help on which antidepressant works best for my condition and it’s a must it can’t cause weight gain as that’s what disturbs me the most. I realise every person responds different to all types of medication but if you could please help me with personal experiences on the best that doesn’t cause weight gain. I’d really appreciate all your help?! Obviously I’ll discuss with a psychiatrist but would love advise on others experiences!! 😢

Fluoxetine is apparently the best one in regards to weight
I just want to say all the best on your mental health journey xxx you're killing it jsut taking that leap toward help xx
I'm your age. I was on paroxetine ( paxil ) for 20 yrs. I lost weight on it. A lot. I cant say weather it was the medication or the fact that i don't eat . Anxiety disorders take away my pleasure centres and because eating is something pleasurable, it too was taken away. A calorie deficiency is the only sure way to drop kilos, intentional or not. Even ppl on medical steriods won't gain weight if they are eating less than they need. It's probably more your eating habits than the medication as appetite does increase and even rages at times when you re content and balanced.
