What would you say to your 6yr old when he says he is missing his dad?? ...when his dad can't be bothered to call, see him out of his normal time (ever second weekend), be interested in his life or school etc. (lives 15mins away)..
I keep saying "I know you miss your dad.... It's not fair... I love you!! But is that enough?
Btw.. I have spoken to "dad" about this but alway ends up in a fight... It's like his ego is hurt as he never does any thing about it..

I don't know what you would say. Perhaps a counsellor can help you come up with some ideas. I'm assuming his dad wouldn't welcome his son ring him?
