Anxiety when it comes to parenting

I'm a mum to a 2 year old boy and I get anxious about parenting. It all started when he was just a baby and my friend and family would tell me what to do (made me feel like a failure) we recently moved townS I don't know anyone and I'm to anxious to take my child to activities with other parents and make friends with them. I tell my hubby I will but I cant physically make my self (Things like gym, play group, dance even just a simple play at the park when other families are there) I have no problems with going out with my hubby places or by my self and in all other aspects of my life I'm very confident. I feel worse because my little boy is missing out ( he does get to play with his cousins though) I'm due with number 2 at the end of the year aswell. Can anyone offer advice or help so I can get out and about with my little boy? (Also I must add I'm a confident parent at home and around ppl I know)

This sounds more like social anxiety (presenting as parent anxiety). Don't keep struggling through with out help. Talk to your GP tell them what you wrote here. He should refer you to a counsellor or similar so you can get some proper support and guidance and work through your anxiety with strategies. Good luck, you sound like a great mum and doing this will move you to super mum status in my eyes

I don't have any problems making friends with out kids and going to social events by my self. It's just things that involve talking about parenting and the fear of being judged as a parent. Is that the same thing?
