Embarrassing question, but I need advice ASAP!!
I’ve recently started seeing someone, his home is somewhat “clean” not sure if the bathroom gets cleaned often or at all since I’ve been around and I’ve had a few showers there using towels that really only get washed in the quickest wash possible.
Anyway I now have jock itch, I’ve never ever had this before. I’m treating it with Lamisil but it’s not clearing up. Has anyone treated this successfully and it’s cleared up really quickly.
Edit: have been to GP’s and diagnose with Tinea( Jock Itch) not a STD as I had a swab test taken

You need to see a doctor. It’s unlikely to be a fungal infection.
It could be crabs or herpes. Either way you want to know what it is before you are with this guy again.
A quick Google search suggests heading back your the GP if there's been no improvement after a week of treatment or if it hasn't cleared up completely after 3 weeks.
It's also pretty standard in most skin conditions to keep it dry, sweat free and not wear tight clothing. I'd try popping a floaty dress/skirt on and going commando in front of the AC for a few hours.
I think I'd probably avoid showering (or even staying) at his house from now on too. At the very least bring your own towels!
If you need to bring your own towel then he is gross! Raise your standards!
From experience, this will never change. He might pick his act up for a while when you first make it known but it will be you cleaning and washing things properly. Is it a deal breaker now? What about 3 years down the track when you have a kid and a man child? I would run! I love my kids and am beyond happy to have them, however the rest of it was shit, I wish I had of run!
