I don’t know where to start with this but have any of you ladies been to trial for domestic violence? I’m the aggrieved and my sons father is pleading not guilty. The police have photos of damage done to my house and my neck from where he strangled me 4 times that night. I have given my witness statement, my 13 year old daughter is to give one as well next week as she witnessed 2 of the strangulations.
There is one more mention next month which is when a trial date will be set, but I have no idea what to expect from the trial.
If anyone can give me some insight as to what goes on once the trial commences I would truly appreciate it.
Trial will be in QLD, I don’t know if that makes a difference or not.

They will cross examine you both. It's not unusual that his legal team will make you look like the problem. Be strong. Speak clearly. Control any outbursts / emotions, And don't volunteer information unless asked..
In the end the evidence will speak for itself.
