My daughter wrote a piece of music. She then played and recorded this piece of music. She is really proud of it and would like to distribute it across various online platforms. How do we make sure she had ownership of this music and nobody steals it. I have tried searching but I am totally confused. Thanks for any and all advice.

You can't unless you pay a heap of money to protect the piece via copywrite. And believe me its gonna cost you a shit load.
